US Census Is Very Important, but be Wary of Scams
The US Census counts every resident in the United States every 10 years as required by the US Constitution. Beginning this month, census forms are being mailed to every residence in the country. Participating in the census is very important for the State of Arizona. Census information affects the number of seats our state occupies in the US House of Representatives. The information also helps determine how more than $400 billion dollars of federal funding each year is spent on infrastructure and services that include hospitals, schools, senior centers, job training centers, bridges and other public works projects. To complete the census survey, residents simply need to answer 10 short questions and mail the form back in the postage pre-paid envelope. The census will collect your name, address, race, ethnicity, the type of home that you live in, whether you rent or own your residence, your telephone number, the number of people living in your home and the relationship of residents in the home. Unfortunately, scam artists have also emerged to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers. The census will not ask for money, bank account information, credit card information, Social Security number, salary/income, citizenship, or immigration status. It will also not ask your political party affiliation, your position on health care, Medicare/Medicaid, or border issues. If the form is not returned, a census worker may show up at your home, show you the form that was sent in the mail …

I recently checked my credit report. The information is very inaccurate. What do I do about this?
I recently turned 18 (April 2009), and decided to check my credit report due to a bill from a car accident that I had to make sure wasn’t against my credit. That bill wasnt…but they have a past due phone bill that had been put in my name in 2006 I believe. The bill has been on my credit since Aug. 2008. Since I only turned 18 last year, I had never checked my credit report, because I didn’t THINK I had 1, but the credit report has my birthdate as 1970, and my age as 38! I did not authorize the phone line to be put in my name, nor did my parents and I was not 18 then! This is against my credit, and since I am only 18 and have established no credit, this blemish is keeping me from getting any sort of credit card, etc. to help me credit! Please help me! Im not sure how to go about this the right way to ensure that this is off of my credit! How do I get this OFF of my credit, and what do I do about the inaccurate information also? Please reply ASAP so I can have this taken care of!

How high can your credit score go up after being very low?
My credit score is around 500. I’m 21 years old and I have made some pretty poor decisions regarding my financial obligations. (PLEASE, do not post any negative information or comments telling me to get back on track and how important good credit is. I KNOW THIS and since March of this year, I have gotten back on track.) How much can my score go up after I continue paying my bills on time and get some bills out of collections? Thanks.
The Travis Show #107: “A No Good, Very BAD Morning…”
So- I woke up to find out that my credit card information had been stolen. Somebody tried to make some online purchases with my credit card but luckily it was declined. This isn’t the first time it’s happened to me! The credit card is now cancelled, *sigh*.
