They all get the same information, but they decide how to use it. For instance, one credit bureau gave me an A rating, the second one a B-, and the third one, which had the same information, a D. I wrote a letter to the third bureau for answers and I was informed that the bureau had the right to decide how to use the information and they thought it was negative, even though the other two didn’t thiunk so. This is the reason my credit score’s really low. Something needs to be done to bring all 3 bureaus in line.

I’m sure I read this somewhere recently. Experian, Transunion, and/or Equifax have contracts with third parties where they release selected portions of your “profile” to third parties i..e if ABC mortgage company runs your credit Experian may release that info(in a limited manner but definitely contact info) to XYZLoans.net. Who does that and is there currently legislation in the works regarding it?
