Store manager accused of theft from company
The manager of the Sav-U-Mor grocery in the Northgate Shopping Center on Richmond Street in Bogalusa was arrested on charges that he cashed more than $12,000 worth of company checks, allegedly to feed an in-store ATM machine, but instead pocketed the money. The ATM was discovered to have been shut down for more than a year.

I am interested in referencing a line from a poem as a store/ domain name. Is this copy write infringement? As an example, lets say I like Sylvia Plath’s poem Lady Lazarus. If I were to title a store Lady Lazarus or Lady Lazarus Designs is this copy write infringement? Is there a time frame that matters? like what if the poem is from Chaucer so it’s from 1300-1400? is it a problem if I use some wording from the poem I love and not the title?

Anyway, the site and store would have little to do with the poem, I just adore this particular bit and wanted to know if I am playing with fire if I use it. Also, what if in the “about” or profile area I quote the line and give the writer credit and reference it? I don’t want to infringe upon someone’s work obviously, but I have no idea where to find this information! Please help! Thanks
My thoughts regarding copyright were that while it is a name (trademark) it’s inspired or pulled from a work of art (copyright). Since the work of art is so old, hasn’t any copyright become public domain by now?

correct me if I am wrong, but is it illegal for companies to store customer credit card information for future purchases? I bought my daughter a iPod touch and itunes and to register it they want me to give them my credit card info in case I use the store to buy something I think its wrong credit card should only be required at time of purchase.

I’ve applied in the past like a few years back for various dept. stores and was denied. Ive since quit applying for them and my credit score has risen as well. My credit score is better now in the mid 6’s. What are my chances of getting a credit card with anyone. I went to my dentist and was asked to provide my credit card information for them to store in their database in case they needed to bill me for something. As far as I know, they are not allowed to just store my credit card information.

I need to store my clients’ credit card information for recurring monthly payments for my small business. I currently use Microsoft Office Accounting to process credit cards but there is no way to store the information in it and it must be entered each month manually. This forces me to just store the clients’ credit card information on a piece of paper which is obviously insecure.

What are my options for securely storing my clients’ credit card information?
