I talk about my experience of how I came to USA as an immigrant and how I overcame the challenges of growing up in Newark, NJ. They invited me to their talent show this year, and I was excited because they did a great job! In an effort to save money and energy, Paoli’s Delaware Valley Friends School (DVFS) joined forces with four other local independent schools to pursue grants through the Philadelphia Area Independent School Business Officer Association (PAISBOA) to have solar panels installed. Glen Rock school board ditches activities fee, lays off five teacher aides
After conducting zero-based budgeting for the allocation of teacher assistants and lunch aides across the district, the Glen Rock Board of Education (BOE) was able to save $223,000 in the 2010-2011 budget, with an eye towards retaining middle-school sports and the high school winter track team, and defer the creation of an activities fee.
