What are some financial considerations of adoption (please read entire question)?

My wife and I are preparing to adopt a group of three siblings from the foster-care system. We live in Florida. We know about the financial subsidies that the state offers. I am writing today to get comments about ADDITIONAL financial considerations – such as tax tips, additional programs (government or not), etc. for adopted children.

Obviously – we are NOT adopting children to “make money” (pretty ridiculous) but – this will change our family finances. I am a teacher, and my wife is a stay-at-home mom. We just want to make sure we are doing this the “smart” way, and would appreciate your experiences.

Credit report question: How do I remove somebody else’s information off my credit report?

I was looking at my 3 agency credit report, and my score is excellent, but there is some strange stuff in there, like a debt forgiven for bankruptcy, and a JCPenny credit card from 1976. Only problem is I’ve never declared bankruptcy, and in 1976, I was probably picking my nose in the highchair while trying to say “mama” and “daddy.” My grandmother, who had a horrible financial record, has the same name as I do. I’m sure all the bad info is off her records. How do I remove her info off my credit report? I am so close to a perfect score. Sorry Granny, but your stuff is messing me up!!

Capital Budgeting question. What evaluation techniques are most often used to make capital budgeting decisions?

In practice, what evaluation techniques are most often used to make capital budgeting decisions? Do these techniques lead to value maximization? why or why not?

I have a question regardin an inquiry on my credit report, can anyone please give me information…………..?

I recently applied for a payday loan, and I received an alert on my credit report. It showed an inquiry from the payday loan company that I just applied for. I though that “payday loans” don’t check your credit? Now do you know if this is a hard inquiry or soft inquiry and if I’m in the last process of closing escrow on a house purchase. Would this affect the process of the closing?
Well..I did read that paper work & didn’t state anywhere about a credit check, it however state that payment may be reported to the credit bureaus.

Question about Payday loans?

Can you request in writing to a payday loan place to keep all contacts to letters and send you a copy of the debt that’s owed? Plus can the company fax over information to your job to garnish your wages? I thought a lawyer had to proceed with a judgment to the court and then to your employer? Please give your advice on this one

I have a question about payday loans….?

My husband applied for a payday loan online. First a lady named Nikki from Delacom called to verify information. She asked him if he still wanted the loan and he said yes. They deposited the money….blah, blah, blah. Now a lady from AIP named Margie is calling about the loan. He told her he received it through Delacom and was told that it is through AIP now. Well we are going to pay off the loan this Friday, but he asked her why didn’t he receive the loan documents and she told him that he didn’t need them. I thought they had to give you the loan documents for it to be legal. Now I’m worried that they are going to take out whatever they want for as long as they want because he doesn’t have the loan docs. Can they do that??

Short Sale Question in regards to heirs of estate?

I am in the process of trying to short sale my parent’s home. I have listed it with a realtor and now am required to give all of my personal information to the mortgage company as well as the realtor to negotiate the short sale. This house is also in probate. I have accepted an offer for the sale of the house however I am now required to give all of my personal information and financial information such as my SSN number, how much I make, what I owe, how much I have in my bank accounts, what liquid assets I have…
My question is if I am only an heir and an executor and I will receive nothing from the estate, why am I required to give all of this information to the person handling the short sale? If so, am I responsible for taxes after the short sale has been approved? Will the credit profile for my parent’s house get mixed up with mine? Why would a short sale be better than foreclosure since I am not the borrower and my parents are now deceased?
