This has happened to me a few times. Basically these guys called my old phone number, told me I had back payday loans that I needed to pay, or else the cops were coming to arrest me unless I paid them. I paid one, through money order, and I have proof of all of them. However, they refused to give me any information about the allegations, and refused to give me a badge number. One gave me his email, and I checked the website it went through where anyone can apparently get an email address saying @usacops.com and they don’t have to be cops. Nothing is reported on my credit reports, so I am wondering if I have enough ammo to take this to a lawyer or the local police station here? The guys calling also sounded (no disrespect to race here but it’s true) to be Iraqi or of indian (as in India) descent.

I’ve heard a lot about the stock market recently but I don’t know much about it. What is it? Also, I’ve heard that people have gotten rich off of it, how did they get rich?

Here’s the story about a year ago, I took out a payday loan from a company called BIG loans. After I had already taken out the loan I found out the company was fake and just out to take people’s money. So I borrowed 300.00 and I ended up paying over 600.00 in interest and eventually closed the account. Well these people do not stop calling me telling me I still owe them ridiculous amounts of money and they have my bank information and they just keep taking money out. I have tried to tell them that he loan is paid off and that I will not pay them any more money but they don’t listen. I have also talked to my bank and they tell me since I gave them permission to debit my account when I had the loan they cannot stop them from debiting my account. I am furious at them and my bank and now I cannot close my account unless I pay all the fees that they (BIG) have been taking out. How crappy is that? Is there any other way I can handle this? Oh and they do not stop calling me at my work, I have told them numerous times to call my cell or home and they continue to interrupt me at my job. Please no rude answers, thanks!

What are the names of the poeple who contribute the most money in the whole stock market? There has got to be a limited number of individual people that own X percent of stock in the ENTIRE market…who are these people and how much percent of the market do they own? I ask this because someone told me that Bush along with 3 other people own the majority/most percentage of the enitre stock market. Is it true or is this person completely crazy…it seems pretty possible to me but that is why i ask on yahoo.

My mom and I have the same name and our information and social security numbers have been meshed onto the same credit report for my entire credit history. So, essentially, my report looks like I am in an extreme amount of debt between a mortgage, student loan, credit cards, etc, when in reality it’s only about half of what is listed. I would like to go about removing her information from the report, but once that is done, how would I prevent the credit companies from associating her social security number with my own in the future? It was suggested to me that I add a middle name, but I don’t see how that would necessarily work since we have two seperate social security numbers, and the agencies still screwed it up. And advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I am writing an article on budgeting. I am looking for unique budgeting ideas. For example, I talked to a lady today that only uses cash and she organizes her cash in one of those coupon organizers. For example, she puts money for food under one tab, car insurance under another, etc. Let me know if you have a helpful budgeting tip. Ideally, be sure you allow email in your preferences.
