Is there a way to find out whether a Payday Loan website is legit or not? I know it’s a really bad idea… really bad. But after a week of searching for other options I find myself coming to the conclusion is the only option left.

So, I’m wondering if there is a website where I can perhaps check out the legitimacy of these payday loan websites. They ask for very specific personal information and I’d hate to give up my information to some scammer and end up in an even worst situation.
My income is not the problem… I have a job that gives me a steady income with which I can comfortably pay all my bills. I also receive child support from my children’s father. I just had a really bad luck streak that totally wiped me out. Obviously I did not have enough saved to cover three emergencies at once. But, things happen and now I’m in a bad situation. I do follow a personal budget and always set something to the side for savings. But my savings are gone as well.

Thank you for the BBB suggestion. Don’t know how I didn’t think of it. I’m checking BBBOnline right now.
