Why is Equifax not reporting my information of credit history?
I got my first credit card in June of 2006. My payments have never been late. Every 30 days the credit card company reports account status to all 3 major credit reporting agencies. Transunion and Experian both are showing my account correctly, but Equifax is not showing it at all! I had to pay Equifax $20 for my credit report just to try to dispute it and now I get a bunch of crap for the customer service center. I know my credit card company is reporting my info. In fact just yesterday they did another report to Equifax and Equifax is still saying they have no record of the account. I’m really upset over this mess and I want an investigation by FTC and possibly the Attorney General for the state for the Equifax corporate office. What would you do? What is the best way to get immediate action?

The long-term damage to your credit history from identity theft can be more damaging than the short-term effects. How high can my credit score climb if I have only credit cards in my credit history?
My current credit score is 745 and I’ve built it solely by using credit cards and paying on time (but never had any loans). Somebody told me that the abscence of installement-paid loan will prevent my score from climbing much higher. Is it true? Should I take some consumer loan to boost my credit score since I am planning to apply for a mortgage in the near future?
Why doesn’t your credit report contain all your credit history?
I just got my credit report but it doesn’t list my college loans that I paid off quite a few years ago or my payment history on former credit cards. Wouldn’t this information improve my credit profile?
I paid off my guaranteed student loan early (in 18 mths) and have almost always paid off my credit cards each month (first card in 1980). Since I don’t have a lot of credit activity at the present time I was wondering if that history from about 20 yrs ago would be taken into consideration if I were to apply for a large loan now (car, house)?
