Dear Debt Adviser: Do you know of any official, government-sanctioned, consumer credit card bailout programs? If these programs don’t exist, are there legitimate services that can actually assist consumers in reducing debt without adverse credit-score or credit-report consequences?

KARACHI (June 03 2010): The federal government has issued some Rs 178 billion worth guarantees for the public sector entities (PSEs) and the government institutions during the current fiscal year, which, according to the State Bank of Pakistan, are a risk to fiscal sustainability.

May 14 (Bloomberg) — European finance ministers plan to extend the program under which banks can sell government- guaranteed bonds beyond June 30, forcing lenders to provide more information and pay extra to sell the debt, according to a draft of the proposals.
