Just finished college – Tips for financial planning for the future?

Just a little background info:
I just graduated from college, and once I pass my board exams, I’m going to go from making minimal money to making $53.50/hr plus bonuses (I’m getting $35,000 in sign-on bonuses in just a few days, then approx 3-5K/year additional bonus). I’ll get full time and a half for overtime over 40 hours, so my salary is probably going to be somewhere around $130,000/year.

My company will match me 3 dollars for every dollar I put into my 401K, but only up to 2% of my income. I was also wondering, at my age (23, almost 24), is it okay to put my money into the “high risk” category, or should I go for something more in the middle?

I’d also like tips on additional ways to invest/save to maximize my money in the future. Any tips???

What is the best degree for a future financial planner?

The educational requirement is a degree in one of the business disciplines. I have mostly core and some basic business credits, but haven’t picked a focus yet. I know it varies from school to school, but which will best prepare for a career as a certified financial planner?

Before I go to college, I was just wondering if there are any financial tips you can give me for the future?

My counseler was telling me how important it is to attend a financing class so i can be prepared. She recommended it even. I do plan to go but I thought why not ask Yahoo! Answers.

Please tell
thanks for your time
Much Appreciated :-)

If I wanted to start saving money for my future what is the best way to go?

I’m about to be a 19 year old college student and I was wondering what is the best way for me to start saving. After this semester my scholarships will cover all college expenses. Only money I will spend will be for dates, birthdays, holidays, and of course gas money. After this summer I will have sufficient funds to either invest or put money into a savings account and allow it to draw interest. What is the best bet for me to have a reasonable amount to fall back on when I’m older. I’m not asking what will make me a millionaire but what will allow me to live comfortably. Thanks.
