Disputing credit report information…?

Do you think I will have any luck if I dispute some information on my credit report that is technically true but it is only true because of a strange situation. I had a card with Sams Club. Now i had like a 15 dollar monthly payment to make. I went online to pay and put in my bank information and scheduled a payment. I get a message back later that it didn’t go through. I go online and I call and talk to the people on the phone and they say that maybe my information was incorrect and to re-enter it so I do it again. It doesn’t go through again. At this point I am behind and they put a negative mark on my credit report and they close my account. So what happened was I entered my bank account info and I was supposed to put like two additional 0’s in front of it. So it didn’t go through but I felt like their system should tell me if it knows my account # isn’t long enough or something. I went into the store and paid it off in full but they won’t remove the negative remark.
