Can debt management companies be trusted?
I’ve been in a program for 10 months now. I’ve recently come into some money that will pay all these bill off. Now I’m a little conserned about sending a rather large check to the debt management company. They’ve been good in the past, paid what they said, but it just bothers me to send this much money to them. I wonder if I should pay the bills myself or let them do it. This is a once in a life time chance for me I can’t screw it up.

Any tips on battling companies trying to take financial advantage of consumers?
I am sick of companies (i.e. electric, apartments, water, cell phone) trying to take advantage of me and get more money out of me when accounts are closed, bill me for service that I didn’t use, charge me for things that were broken before I even moved in. How can I fight and even stop this from constantly happening?

Can Payday Cash Advance companies tell if you already have another load out?
When I went to open an account at a Payday Cash Advance company, they checked on their computer and saw that I already had another loan out with another company. How did they do that? And can all Payday companies do this?
do payday loan companies report on your credit score when your loan is past due?
I just recently found out that payday loans are illegal in my state, however I didn’t know this information before I got the loan. But since then I was advised to file a complaint against the payday loan company with the attorney general’s office in my state. They told me not to have any contact with the company and to basically not worry about it b/c it was illegal for the company to even give me the money when it’s illegal for payday loans in my state. I was recently contacted by the company with a msg on my voice mail ( after not hearing from them for 2months) stating that if I don’t pay on my loan it will be going into collection……Although the attorney general’s office advise me not to worry about it I just want to get some more advice on this issue. I’m not sure if I don’t pay will they report on my credit score….????
Thanks in advance!!!
