Why is my fiance getting a 2wk shutdown when the other depts are only getting 1wk?
He just started working at a factory this past Tuesday (June 30th) and he is in the injection molding area. Shut down is after today (Friday, July 3rd) for what he thought was one week, but he found out today it will be two weeks while the other departments are only shut down for one week.
Is this normal?
He used to work at that very factory before, but they laid him off after just one week. It feels this is a repeat scenario, but I was needing to know if anyone had any information on this. We are moving into an apartment this Friday on a temporary basis until August 1st then we’ll sign the contract.
Basically, I just need to know if certain departments in a factory shut down for longer periods of time than others because we really need this income now more than ever.
Also, if anyone knows, is there any way he can get a payday loan without an initial paycheck stub, but with proof of employment from the factory?
Thanks very much for the help.
Can I Get a Summons for This?
I got a payday loan almost 2 years ago. For some reason when they drafted a payment out it bounced. I never heard from them or anything and I just forgot about it over time. I got a phone call from a collection agency last week (this is the first communication I got from anyone about this) wanting to settle this. I told them what I could do financially and they agreed to something similar. They wanted me to call them back with my debit card information. My grandmother nearly died yesterday and I didn’t and now I’m getting a phone call from someone threatening to show up at my house or work with a summons. I called the county I live in and they said they have no record of a summons for me to appear in court and these people are illegally saying this. The person who’s calling only leaves her name, no company name or phone number. Can a collection agency send out one of their people with a summons or does it have to be someone like a constable or someone like that even though my county doesn’t have anything? I’m worried about it, but they’ve threatened me with this several times and I don’t want to deal with that.
They aren’t even in our state and when I spoke to the court here they said that it could take over a month for them to get the summons.
Yes, collection agencies can get in trouble by the FTC if they threaten people just to get money.
Filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy?
I am 7 months pregnant with my second child and my fiance lost his job 4 months ago..we have been relying on my income solely and it’s been a struggle to prioritize what should get paid and what not. My rent is pretty high and I can’t afford it on my salary alone, so I’ll be looking for another house or apartment that’s cheaper even though my lease isn’t up until January…I’ve had poor credit for a while now and wanted to try to pay everything off, but with the baby and all of my bills I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel..I am living in payday loan hell trying to keep up with everything(thought was a good idea at the time) and I’m just stuck…Bankruptcy seems to be my only option at this point. Please give me any information you have on Chapter 7. Thanks in advance
Has anyone dealt with PMI Associates?
I recieved a voicemail recently from Brian Baxter with PMI associates, stating that i had commited “bank fraud” back in 2003(i was right out of high school) for not paying back the full amount of a payday loan. He called my current cell phone number, which ive only had for a short time. Threatend to have me arrested if i dont pay them 1700.00$. when i asked him what the original loan amount in concern was he said $350.00. … (that’s quite an inflation there huh)
Has anyone ever dealt with them, or recieved similar phone calls from PMI? Please, any information you might have will be very helpful. thanks in advance.
The only thing i did say was that i did indeed take out a payday loan that year. i got a letter from pmi today stating that the loan was thru cashnet? ive never heard of them, and the loan i took out was thru a local place here in missouri.
the research i have done returns the same info from other people as well. stating they were contacted for bank fraud or malicious intent to a financial institution. i do not see anything on my credit report from this collection agency at all…..

money hold from colection agency.?
My g/f had gotten a cash advance from money mart, which if you dont know is a place you can go for different forms of financial transactions ranging form paying bills to payday loans.
Well she got a payday loan from them and never paid it back. In order to get one you need your last pay stub, a bank statement and a cheque.
She never paid the laon back and recieved a notice that they would be sending the information to a collection agency. She went to the bank the other day to get her pay out, which is direct deposit, and also to cash a gst cheque.
The teller cashed the cheque and then told her that a collection agency had put a freeze on the account to save the money for them. This was our rent money which we already asked the landlord to wait an extra week for. We now have to ask him again because of this.
I wanna know if they are allowed to do this. I know when you authorize an agency to take money out they can but she didnt talk to anyone from a collection agency and didnt get more than the notice from money mart about them sending it to the collection agency as warning.
So can they freeze it without her telling the collection agency they can take money out? When she cashed the gst cheque is the teller allowed to not tell her about the freeze until the money has already been deposited?
I personally am not paying any of it back. She took the money out on her own and she is responsible for dealing with the problems.
I came to find out if this is legal cause not only am I on the line for the rent that was to come from this but I plan to do everything I can to prevent her from being screwed over. I wont help her pay it though.
I have my own expenses such as credit card and phone bill. I pay my half of the rent and cable. Any money she borrows is her own to deal with.
I borrow from them and I pay them back every time. I wont borrow what I cant pay.
I just wanna check if they can do this because it isnt money mart handling the case now its an agency. They have called her work while she wasnt there trying to find her but she has yet to talk to anyone from it or authorize any form of withdrawl from her account by them
Is this considered Check Fraud?
In 2007, I was struggling financially. I took out a payday loan for $600 and had it deposited into my checking account at the time. I used the money to pay for rent. Because I was not making a steady income, I was not able to pay the loan back. When it came time to make a payment, the loan place credited my account, but it was in the negative. Months later my account closed due to insufficient funds. That year, along with 2008 was a struggle financially and everything else. Now, this law office/collection agency called my fathers house and I finally got the message. I called them back the next day. I spoke with a lady and she said they have been trying to contact me because they send me to jail because I committed check fraud. I took a loan out for $ 600 that turned into $7500 over the two years. I have not made any payment and now I am about to be charged. She told me that she could give me a settlement (which she did) for $2300 and that I had from the beginning of September to November 16th to pay the loan off. I would have to pay $316.20 every two weeks until November 16th. I agreed and started the payment because I was working then and I had got my scholarship money back. I got laid off on September 6th and I have a baby. I cannot afford to make payments of $316.20 and so I called them. I searched for the contact information and everything, but I couldn’t get through to their offices. Finally, I called my bank to stop payment because I not only couldn’t afford the payment, but most importantly, I misplaced my wallet and couldn’t find it. They froze my account and the law office attempted to charge my account. The lady called me on the morning they couldn’t charge it and asked me what were we going to do. I told her my situation and she went off on me saying that I had a baby and I was going to jail and that I committed check fraud. I was trying to be calm and ask her if I can continue to pay when I start working again because I wanted to get it paid, but she kept yelling and talking over me, so I told her I was hanging up because she was being very disrespectful and rude and i hung up. I know about collection agencies and how they will say anything to collect a debt, but this cannot be possible. I have talked to many people and they said that I cannot be committing a crime especially if I contacted them and set up a payment arrangement. If I cannot afford the payments, but attempted to cooperate, then they should work with me. I want to get others opinion on whether or not I committed check fraud and will I go to jail or will they most likely contact me again to set up another payment arrangement? Did I really do anything wrong that people have not done before. Alot of people are in depbt; will I get into trouble or will this pass? I just don’t see how I could get into trouble when I paid like half of it off and I was cooperating, but lost my job. Could this be another way collection/law offices get their money, by scaring people into paying something that they cannot afford? Am I wrong for wanting to feed my daughter because continuing to pay a debt? Please let me know the truth; everything. Please be serious; NO JOKES! Thanks and God bless!
They attempted to credit my account then and they failed, so no they didn’t get paid then (so I don’t think). I am slowly, but surely learning about credit. I am very young, so alot of this is a learning experience and I am taking it as it goes, however, it scared me when they said, I would go to jail even though I know it’s a process that follows that. It was just the thought of jail that took me by suprise, but THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
I am in Wisconsin!

Creditor is Harrassing me….?
I took out a payday loan for a friend who didn’t pay it back, now the creditor is calling me demanding I call them back to make payment or they will contact my boss to my information from them. I have already sent them a certified letter asking them to stop the calls that when I have the money I will contact them, but then he called me saying that he’s was giving me until a certain day and time to call him back or he was going to contact my boss. Can he really do that? Isn’t this considerd harassment?
How do I prevent unauthorized people from debiting my bank account?
Here’s the story about a year ago, I took out a payday loan from a company called BIG loans. After I had already taken out the loan I found out the company was fake and just out to take people’s money. So I borrowed 300.00 and I ended up paying over 600.00 in interest and eventually closed the account. Well these people do not stop calling me telling me I still owe them ridiculous amounts of money and they have my bank information and they just keep taking money out. I have tried to tell them that he loan is paid off and that I will not pay them any more money but they don’t listen. I have also talked to my bank and they tell me since I gave them permission to debit my account when I had the loan they cannot stop them from debiting my account. I am furious at them and my bank and now I cannot close my account unless I pay all the fees that they (BIG) have been taking out. How crappy is that? Is there any other way I can handle this? Oh and they do not stop calling me at my work, I have told them numerous times to call my cell or home and they continue to interrupt me at my job. Please no rude answers, thanks!
