There is a saying: “Penney saved, pound foolish”…this is an Old English Proverb…it refers to spending your valuable time saving a penney when you are missing the big picture & not trying to save the pound (dollar)…enough said…
Best way to save money is to make more money by getting a better job through a better education, not sacrificing your standard of living and health. Ah the stupidity…
I own a hair salon and when my towels start getting holes in them, I sue them up adn use them as cleaning rags. I have ven taken some home to use. Saves alot of money on paper towels. Wash and dry them and reuse them……I would NEVER REUSE A PAPER TOWEL……Too many germs on it……
1. I don’t use paper towels – at all! We use wash-up cloths, which we wash and re-use over and over again
2. I don’t own a tumble dryer – we hang all our washing out to dry. Do you have any idea how much electricity a tumble dryer uses in any event?!
3. I’ve never bought a piece of furniture new anyway.
4. We clip coupons, and look for specials and marked down stuff all the time. Common sense.
Also a good idea is to track your expenses using software.I have a vid on it
reusing the paper towel is just dirty i guess dont know…but im not going to do that as if like the bacteria is just there!!!usually i would buy lysol wipes…they are cheap too at target if it goes on sale! for me to save money get rid of the extra stuff that u dont need in the house such as having a cable T.V if u are not home most of the time, internet if there’s free in apartment club house u dont need it,renting a garage, eating at the restuarant if ur single u dont need it!!!
Well, a better solution is to use cloths or old t-shirts for cleaning and then wash them. There is nothing wrong with living like you are poor now, so that you don’t go broke later. You can learn a lot from people who don’t have much. They learn to improvise. They are survivors They don’t usually blow their brains out during recessions like those with money do. If you feel you need to split the toilet paper sheets, thats ur business. Just wipe thoroughly! lol.,
the rates are lower because it is not peak hours.
Usually everyone in the city is using electricity during the day, so the evening prices are not as high.. because there is not as much of a demand on the power grid for that energy.
All utility rates are lower in the evening.
Well I’m not sure if it’s global, but obviously she said it works there. Where do you live? Cause my mom put’s the washing machine after 9 but that’s just cause we don’t want that noise in the middle of the day.
That’s awesome that you save the bags, but reusing paper actually will reduce the total amount of trees in the world, because paper manufacturers use tree farms, and the more paper that is used, the more trees that are planted.
I disagree. I have seen some families go through ziplock bags and paper towels sooo quickly!
I personally don’t reuse paper towels but i do try to save ziploc bags. And at the end of each term, if i have notebooks with extra paper in them, i will tear them out and use them as loose paper. Save a tree and a few bucks!

She’s not really thrifty considering she blew money on college education and kids.

Is that true?? Like, true EVERYWHERE? ‘Cause that would be awesome.
the energy prices are 1/2-3/4 cheaper after 9.

Is she suggesting I have sex with her instead of paying a prostitute?
what does she mean using the dryer at night is cheaper?
Reusing paper towels is unhygienic – you’d also need a place to keep these used paper towels.
Don’t live like you’re on welfare now so that you can live like you’re on welfare later. Budget, do without frills, and think before you buy.

Little things can really add up!
Those savings are IRRELEVANT !
Saving 15$ on electricity and paper towels per Year WONT HELP your financial situation !
one must make a budget and a LOG. That is to record what his spendings are and then identify the major money spending habits !
IT IS ALL ABOUT BUDGETING, not living the misery !
BUDGETING BUDGETING BUDGETING !
And again Budgeting !!!
