I know a similar question was asked here with mixed responses. But my situation is a little different. In my case: my brother’s credit information is appearing on MY credit report. Including his SSN. As a result, I’ve likely been turned down for many jobs and denied credit when my credit should have been pretty decent. So even if that fact alone isn’t enough – they violated privacy rights by having 2 peoples information on one credit report. Would I win a lawsuit? Who do I even sue?

My credit score right now is a 515, and I just applied for an apartment but was denied since the credit score isn’t a 530. What can I do to raise this score to a 530? They said I can try again in a month, so I want to try and bump it up by then. I’m going through a credit consolidation agency, so monthly payments are being made.

I plan on moving to an apartment in Florida in about 6 months. I recently entered a Credit Counselling program which shows as “Paying by 3rd party” on my credit report for all accounts invovled in the CCCS. My car, cell phone and one credit card are not in the program. ALL accounts are all paid timely. When I rented previously I was never late. Will I have a problem renting an apartment?
